Over the past month through Veterans Day and the Thanksgiving holiday, AMAC Foundation and the Foundation Veteran Outreach Program ( FVOP ) have both experienced a period of growth, events, and success boding well for the new year.

Growing our Collaboration

In this short time we vetted an welcomed A Write to Heal | Heroic episodes, a fantastic organization founded by Lisa Regina with a program component that assists American Veterans learn to operate drones ( remote aircraft ) in the film industry, with opportunities for future employment. This program positively contributes to the FVOP program elements of Veteran transition, and Veteran small business.

Networking

The FVOP participated in the American Legion Conference in Orlando Florida! Joleen Teninty ( AMAC Foundation Executive Director ), Gerry Hafer ( FVOP Lead ), and Michael Teninty ( FVOP Co-Lead ) collaborated with George Wharton of the Sons of the American Legion ( an FVOP collaborator ) to staff a table and interact with the greater Florida members of the incredibly well attended event.

While at the American Legion Conference, we were able to network with Sharon Lowe ( Founder & CEO ), and Shawn Salvi ( President ) of K-9Line, and organization that provides Veterans with service dogs trained to assist them as needed. After the Conference, Gerry & Michael were able to record a podcast on the history, purpose, and growth of the FVOP, stay tuned to our webpage for its release once production is finished.
