AMAC and the AMAC Foundation are staunch advocates on behalf of America’s Veterans, believing strongly that veterans issues should remain a highly visible priority for any administration. As opportunities present themselves, our Washington resources champion these causes in order to underscore their importance. Locally, the Foundation has sponsored educational sessions covering benefits available to our Veterans, providing guidance on how to access these benefits. On October 11, we will be once again embracing this subject, working in partnership with VITAS Healthcare to present an informative seminar based on “A Pledge of Allegiance to Veterans.” This hour and a half seminar will focus on a discussion of nursing home care and home health care, pension and aid and attendance benefits, and end-of-life issues, including coverage for burial and memorial services and regulations associated with national cemeteries.
