Hello, and welcome to our website Women Veteran Support. We are Erica Gabel and Stephanie Perez. We are both US Army veterans from Lubbock, TX, and we’ve known each other since 1998. We met at Lubbock High School when we were both in the Navy JROTC program. Erica joined the Army in 2000, and Stephanie joined in 2001.

Erica came up with the idea to start a Facebook group as a place where women veterans can come together for support. She contacted me to be a partner for the group, and thus Veteran Women Support and Benefits was created. It has been a safe place for other women veterans to communicate and get to know one another. We created this website as an extension to the Facebook group. We wanted a bigger platform to share more information regarding women veteran issues.
