Mission Statement
Founded in 2007, Warrior’s Weekend is a non-profit, 501 (c) 3 Corporation dedicated to the support of veterans of The United States of America with an emphasis on those wounded in The Global War on Terrorism. This is accomplished through holding an annual fishing event for wounded military personnel in May in Port O’Connor, Texas as well as donations to veterans and veterans-based causes.
Warrior’s Weekend XVIII will be held Oct. 18-20, 2024
For 18 years, Warrior’s Weekend has been assisting combat wounded veterans with a relaxing water therapy weekend in Port O’Connor, Texas. We fly in about 100 combat wounded OIF/OEF while 150 transport themselves by private vehicle. The weekend is filled with a good ole South Texas Welcome with all the surrounding towns waiving on the streets, shutting down highways, waiving big flags and showing appreciation for what we all hold dear – OUR FREEDOM!
Friday night there is a fish fry including our boat captions, Saturday morning a yummy taco and fruit breakfast as the heroes hit the water about 8:30 am on
approximately 200 boats. Weigh in is from 12:30 – 3:30pm down at Froggies Bait Dock.
