The mission of Patriot Village Veteran Housing, Inc. is ending homelessness among veterans. We are organizing as a 501(c)3 nonprofit headquartered in Shelby County , TN to provide affordable housing and support services to Veterans and their families. So many veterans joined the military at a young age, before acquiring skills that could be transferred to civilian jobs, putting them at high risk of joblessness and homelessness. Couple this with prolonged deployments away from family and close friends, highly stressful training and occupational demands, and mental/ physical injuries sustained in combat, all can affect veterans’ personalities, self-esteem, and ability to function in civilian society. They were there when we needed them, so we must be there now that they need us. PVVH will provide them with the tools to rebuild their lives, helping them to regain self-sufficiency and reconnect with their family, friends, and community.
