So you ask, “What the heck is that?” The terms veteran and service-disabled veteran are defined in 38 U.S.C. 101(2) and (16) respectively, the Department of Veterans Affairs, United States Code. The term “veteran” means a person who served in the active military, naval, or air service, and who was discharged or released under conditions other than dishonorable. The term “service-connected” means, with respect to disability or death, that such disability was incurred or aggravated, or that the death resulted from a disability incurred or aggravated, in line of duty in the active military, naval, or air service.
BuyVet is owned and led by Kurt Larsen, EdD. Larsen served in the U.S. Navy from November 1976 through December 1979, at which time he was medically retired due to a spinal-cord injury suffered while on active duty.
