The Air Commando Association is a non-profit 501c 3 Veterans Organization. Our mission: To serve Air Commandos and their families past, present, and future.
The ACA is dedicated to preserving the great heritage of Air Commandos’ achievements past, present, and future and to honoring the tremendous contributions made to protect the values held dear by all Americans.
The Air Commando Association was founded in 1969 by retired Air Force Brig Gen Harry C. “Heinie” Aderholt as a membership organization for current and retired military from Special Operations Forces.
ACA has a robust chapter program with chapters at Cannon, NM; Hurlburt Field, FL; Kadena, Japan; Kirtland AFB; Mildenhall, England; Rocky Mountain region; Tampa Bay area; and Washington D.C. as well. The ACA is truly a global organization!
We publish a professional journal, the Air Commando Journal, it covers the gamut of Air Force Special Operators, their equipment, units, and most importantly, the people who through the years have made it happen. Each issue explores the past through the present with articles written by heroes, scholars, commanders and today’s Air Commandos. Every member of the Air Commando Association gets a free copy delivered to their door. We also send the Journal to AFSOC leadership and all their units, OSD, Congress, US Special Operations Command and others that have an interest in making sure the forces of today are equipped and trained to carry on the ethos of the “Quiet Professionals”.
ACA Online is up-to-date with current Air Commando news and information, history, upcoming events and our latest publications. Visit www.AirCommando.org to become a member, shop, make a donation or register for upcoming events.
ACA has a robust scholarship program offering six separate scholarships to eligible and worthy students.
ACA is a non-profit veterans organization. Donations made to the ACA are tax deductible under section 501(c)19 of the Internal Revenue Code.
