The American Oath Initiative (AOI) is a group of Special Forces and Intelligence Soldiers and Marines who completed their service faithfully & honorably, but returned home and were faced with a country they did not recognize which was heading in a direction they could see was wrong. These veterans, having sworn an oath to the Constitution, decided they could not sit back and simply observe while bureaucrats and elected officials abandoned that same oath and trampled on the rights and freedoms enshrined in that sacred document.

Through countless hours of shared frustrations, a small handful of these veterans decided that enough was enough–the time for veterans to simply reminisce on their honorable service and quietly retreat as that same service was disgraced had passed. They realized that once again, it would take veterans of all walks to remind each other, our fellow citizens, and our ‘leaders’ that that oath “to support and defend the Constitution… against all enemies, foreign and domestic,” was for life.

In a few short months, American Oath Initiative was created. Starting in the fall of 2021 in Eastern North Carolina as a 501(c)4 Non-Profit, AOI  has spread to eleven states (so far!) and thousands of folks nationwide are already following along, supporting, and getting involved. Due to great interest, AOI has expanded to extend inclusion to other oath-based professions including Emergency Medical personnel, Law Enforcement Officers, Firefighters, and Federal Agencies–all united behind their love for this country and their adherence to the solemn vows they entered.

The American Oath Initiative (AOI) was initially founded by veterans who believe the trajectory our country is headed is untenable, and that the Nation deserves representatives who prioritize the interests of their constituents, not their own self-interest and special interests. Our mission is simple:

The American Oath Initiative seeks to rectify the trajectory of our Nation by identifying and deploying proven leadership into all levels of government.

Our growing team aims to change this downward spiral by identifying and supporting veterans, first responders and principled Americans for public office. This will be accomplished through a highly targeted, strategic ground game implemented by our well-connected network of Patriot volunteers across the country and supported by our experience and expertise. These men and women are charged with promoting education, political participation, civic instruction, and the enduring advancement of conservative values.

Our supporters stem from all walks of life and share the belief that to preserve our Nation and our freedoms at this juncture, we must turn to those among us who have and will stick to the content of their oaths. In addition to supporting candidates for elected office, our aim further involves creating and sourcing non-elected positions for veterans–an effort that has already had its first instances of success. Non-elected positions will be sourced within the support staffs of local, state and federal officeholders as well as adjacent organizations and nonprofits committed to returning to our founding principles. Our strategy will continue to place veterans, first responders, and principled Americans into positions of influence for years to come as we chip away at the corruption and inefficiencies in our government.
