ACRU monitors and counters threats to our constitutional rights and promotes government transparency and constitutional government.

Mission Statement

The American Constitutional Rights Union, formerly American Civil Rights Union, (ACRU) was established in 1999 to protect the God-given rights outlined in the U.S. Constitution.

ACRU stands against harmful, anti-constitutional ideologies that have taken hold in our nation’s courts, schools, and bureaucracies.

As inheritors of this constitutional republic, we affirm that:

  • All people are created equal, endowed by their Creator with unalienable rights to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness;
  • The government’s purpose is to protect our God-given rights, not to restrict them, nor to invent new rights;
  • The judiciary’s purpose is to interpret the U.S. Constitution as written, not to make selective interpretations, nor to legislate;
  • The free exercise of religion, the right of private organizations to associate freely, the right to free speech, the right to keep and bear arms, the right to own and exercise dominion over property, and the right to elect representatives in free and honest elections are essential rights to be protected, not undermined, by our judiciary and federal executive branch agencies and departments.
