Program Overview
The Constitutional Advocacy Academy is a year-long leadership and advocacy experience designed to equip engaged citizens with the knowledge and skills to influence public policy effectively and lawfully. Through monthly classes, participants learn the constitutional foundations of advocacy, how the legislative process really works, and how to communicate persuasively with elected officials at the federal and state levels. Participants gain practical tools for grassroots engagement, legislative meetings, and community leadership—empowering them to serve as informed, credible, and effective advocates for the issues that matter most to them.

SESSION 3: Order, Motions, and Majority RuleRobert’s Rules of Order for Effective Organizations. Effective organizations don’t succeed by accident—they succeed through order, clarity, and disciplined decision-making. Order, Motions, and Majority Rule: Robert’s Rules of Order for Effective Organizations introduces the practical foundations of parliamentary procedure and shows how structured meetings lead to stronger leadership, fairer outcomes, and greater organizational credibility.

In this session, participants will learn how Robert’s Rules of Order create a clear framework for discussion, motions, and voting, helping groups move from debate to decisive action. Whether you serve in a leadership role, volunteer organization, board, or advocacy group, this webinar will equip you with the confidence and tools needed to participate effectively, maintain professionalism, and ensure meetings produce real results.

By the end of this class, citizen advocacy participants will be able to:
• Understand the purpose and principles of parliamentary procedure.
• Apply basic Robert’s Rules of Order in meetings and organizational settings.
• Recognize how orderly process strengthens credibility, fairness, and effectiveness.
• Participate confidently in structured discussions and decision-making.
