In this February 2020 seminar, Coping With Dementia’s Debbie Selsavage and Ed Youngblood cover a variety of tips and techniques designed to assist caregivers in their service to dementia and Alzheimer’s Disease sufferers. Their theme for the presentation and for their company focused on “person-centered compassionate care,” with emphasis on techniques for communicating and interacting with those they serve.

This seminar, organized in conjunction with VITAS Healthcare, provides a framework for understanding the importance of caregiver self-management. From understanding the role of the caregiver to exploration of a number of related topics (like fall prevention, home safety, fraud/scam awareness). This seminar addressed many often overlooked areas that, if focused on, will help caregivers understand the importance of addressing their own needs.
