I cannot seem to get the volume high enough to hear properly. That is with my speakers on full and same for the computer volume. Could be something on my end? Anyway, I’ll use the slides.
William:
I’ll refer your comment to our tech folks, and also check the volume on the recorded version. Haven’t heard any other complaints, though. The recorded version should be available on our website (Videos page, under “Benefits”) later this week.

Today’s presentation was fantastic! You all did an excellent job of covering the material!
When is the presentation going to start?

The Live Social Security Seminar never came through. Never heard anyone talking. I was able to download the slideshow. Message on screen said “This Video is Unavailable”. I closed out & re-entered numerous times for the first hour, still not working.

I was just curious about how someone could qualify for social security disability after losing their job for failing a random drug test? They tested positive for meth and lost their CDL and their job but still received a disability check afterwards.
Tammy
Someone can be denied disability if it is shown the disability was caused by alcohol or drug use. If they had a disability that was a result of something other than drug use, they would still be able to receive disability benefits.
“If drugs or alcohol are mentioned in your medical records, after making an initial disability decision, Social Security will make a “DAA determination” to see whether your use of drugs or alcohol is contributing to your disability. If the SSA finds that it is, your disability claim will be denied.” It appears Social Security determined his actual disability was not related to his drug use.
