Researchers at CDC’s Injury Center have created a tool kit expressly for health care providers who treat older adults at risk of falling or who may have fallen in the past. Although it is oriented specifically toward health care providers, seniors and the general public can benefit from understanding the preventive measures covered in the tool kit. More than one out of four people 65 and older falls each year, and over 2.8 million are treated in emergency departments annually for fall injuries, making this subject one of extreme importance to seniors the world over.
