Researching Your Member of Congress Before the Meeting

Effective advocacy starts with preparation. In this session, participants will learn how to research their Member of Congress using reliable resources, understand that legislator’s background and priorities, and review key committee assignments, voting records, and public statements. The class will help advocates prepare strategically for congressional meetings and make every interaction more informed and impactful.
