The Title, Veterans Council of Hillsborough County
Implies that this organization assumes great responsibility in representing the needs of Hillsborough County’s veterans. Indeed, it does that, and so much more. For over half a century, the Veterans’ Council of Hillsborough County, Inc. is still working hard to help unify veteran organizations that uphold the ideals, principles, and traditions of Military Service. The Vision to support veterans, active duty, reserve and other members of our armed forces and their families has never waivered since the organization was originally charted in the Circuit Court of Hillsborough County as “Allied War Veterans of Hillsborough County, Florida, Inc,” on March 21, 1955. Although the name has changed,  the Mission of the Veterans’ Council of Hillsborough County, Inc. has become the trusted veterans’ organization to interface with governmental entities on veteran issues and activities. They are well known for their steady support of county veteran and military-related organizations to foster cooperation and support of the public for veterans and the military.
