Welcome! Bombshell Patriots is a nonprofit organization serving women of service through camaraderie and education. We operate on a completely volunteer basis and all proceeds received go to the resources and events we host to support our mission and vision.
Bombshell Patriots was founded on September 5, 2019, by Alyssa Flood after she observed that many events for veterans were predominantly frequented by male veterans and women of service were grossly underrepresented as a whole. Alyssa instantly thought of her childhood friend Lori and other women who have served. Lori loved being in the Army, being a veteran, and motorcycles. However, when Lori left the Army, she left a part of herself in her uniform that she could not get back. On September 7, 2015, Lori passed away. Lori’s mother believes if Bombshell Patriots would have been here then, she would be here today.
While our main focus is on women of service, we do serve males as well. We lovingly refer to them as the Bombshell Brothers. The Bombshell Brothers consist of men who have served, are serving, or are the spouses of a Bombshell Patriot. Giving veterans and their spouses a safe place to reach out for help and support in a judgment free environment.
One of our top priorities is promoting camaraderie and support through building relationships with our Bombshell Patriots Network on the Mighty Network, events, and conferences. We are firm in the belief that more needs to be done in educating veterans and/or their family as to what resources are out there for them in their times of need. Bombshell Patriots is assisting in this by building relationships with County Veterans Affairs Offices and acting as a bridge from the veteran to the right resource to assist them with whatever need they are facing.
