Dear Rusty: My wife and I have a Medicare Advantage Plan, and we do not use Medicare for our claims. However, we still have the Medicare premium deducted from our Social Security checks. Is this correct? Signed: Wondering

I’m retied on a fixed income. My Medicare Part B monthly cost has gone from $90 in 2012 to $198 in 2022. Basically it’s wiped out any increase i have gotten over the years. It’s a joke because my AARP supplemental coverage which costs us about $7, 000 a years picks up most of out of hospital expenses. So what good is coverage B other then taking your money.
