The Veterans Impact Initiative is a collaborative effort to cultivate conversations between civilian and military populations in the Harvard and Greater Boston communities. Throughout the year, we work with various Harvard communities to host events for all those interested in military affiliated topics, regardless of their status as civilian or military. The program’s culminating experience, Public Service Week, is a week-long event series highlighting all manners of public service. The week incorporates Harvard-wide day of service during which Harvard community members, both civilian and military, serve and connect with veterans around Greater Boston, further bridging the civilian-military divide and assisting veterans and community members in need.
The Veterans Impact Initiative is a partnership among the Center for Public Leadership, Institute of Politics, Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs, HKS Armed Forces Association, HLS Armed Forces Association, the Harvard Veterans Alumni Organization, and the HKS Student Public Service Collaborative.
