About Vet the Vote
As veterans and military family members, we don’t stop serving when we take off the uniform. We will always step forward to serve our country. Today that means answering a call to serve as the next generation of poll workers.
We’re proud that America’s elections are run by we the people. Every election, thousands of counties and towns across America recruit and train hundreds of thousands of poll workers. These are our neighbors, who learn how to set up and safely run the over 115,000 voting locations across our country according to their state’s rules. Over time, it’s gotten harder to recruit volunteers to do this essential work for our nation, so we’re stepping up to meet this challenge.
Vet the Vote is a national campaign to recruit veterans and military family members to be the next generation of poll workers. Our community is leading the way in supporting safe and secure elections and ensuring we know the nuts and bolts about how elections are run. We also want to make sure our fellow Americans know we’re on the job, to show that it’s still possible for Americans to work together in patriotic service.
In 2022, more than 63,500 of us raised our hands to serve through Vet the Vote alone. So join us. Sign up. Vote, volunteer, and support those who do.
