There are more than 2 million women Veterans living in the U.S. today. Florida has the second highest number of women Veterans in the nation, about 150,00, only behind Texas with a little more than 185,000. Women are the fastest growing roup in the Veteran population. In 2000, women were only  percent of the Veteran population. By 2040, women will be 18 percent of the Veteran population. Today’s women Veterans are the best-educated and most diverse generation.
They are generally younger than male Veterans and will have many opportunities to receive VA care. Read their Annual Report here...
