We are committed to ensuring military-affiliated students have a smooth transition to college and a successful educational experience. Services that are provided include one-on-one advising throughout the admissions process, priority registration, and continued support throughout their academic career at PSC. Through the Office of Military Student Affairs, military-affiliated students can do the following:
- Find out how to apply for Department of Veterans Affairs and State of Illinois military education benefits.
- Get academic credit for military training
- Receive referral services for other veterans’ resources
At PSC, we understand the unique challenges veterans face when rejoining civilian life and starting college after several, and sometimes many years, outside of the classroom. To help make that transition easier, we opened the Military Student Affairs (MSA) Center. The MSA Center, located just off the Main Building’s atrium in room 1240, is the central hub for our veterans’ program and a dedicated area designated for veterans with a mini-USO feel. It is a one-stop shop for veterans to connect and network with one another. PSC student veterans can study and socialize with fellow veterans and find information about the services available to them at PSC and within the community.
