A veteran who started a podcast for other military veterans is being honored with several national awards. But, he didn’t get to where he is today, alone.

Michael Hinkle of Foley, Alabama served 31 years in the United States Navy and was deployed all over the world. Five years ago, he started a company called SkillMil which helps veterans find employment and for some, find a sense of purpose again.

“Because a lot of people don’t understand what we do inside the military. You know submarines, I’m sure people don’t understand what I did on board a submarine haha,” Hinkle said. (Continue reading here…)
