Welcome to G.I. Wishes – A Pet for a Vet. Since June of 2011, we have been creating alliances with rescue groups, veterans organizations, the National Guard and veterinarians in order to fulfill our mission to match rescue animals with veterans and families for companionship purposes. To be a conduit and clearinghouse for all veterans, rescue, and other interested organizations for this purpose; endeavoring to match the right animal with the right veteran and family.
