In 2025 I want to start spousal benefits from my 1st ex husbands social security (passed in 2010)
I remarried and I have filed for divorce and right now I am on ssi but will go off of it when my survivor benefits kick in. How long will it take for my benefits to switch over since I am drawing ssi now.

If you have applied for your survivor benefit, Social Security will process your benefits in approximately two to three months.
