SUMMARY:Sudden Death Seminar Series - Summer (Aug/Sep)
DESCRIPTION:This is a 3-part series at The Villages Library\, Pinellas Plaza Thursdays – Aug 24\, 31\, and Sep 7\, 10:00am – 12:00 pm \n\n\n\n @ 7375 Powell Road\, Wildwood\, FL 34785 \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nIf you passed away tomorrow\, will your loved ones know what to do? Will they know where your financial information and tax records\, insurance records\, and investment documents are stored? Will they be able to locate your most current will\, health care directives\, and documented funeral wishes? Can they locate important household documents\, like deeds\, car titles\, and pension statements? \n\n\n\nThe list goes on and on\, but the important point is that having this type of pertinent information organized and available in a structured place is something you can do in advance for those you leave behind. It’s a big task and it’s not an easy one…we know that. But with a structured approach\, you can create a living document that will prove invaluable to your loved ones. \n\n\n\nThis seminar has been structured to guide you through the process of creating your “Survivor Notebook\,” the repository that will help your loved ones cope after your passing. Conducted in three separate two-hour sessions\, we’ll walk you through identifying what needs to be considered\, assembling the material as we go in an accessible format\, and we’ll be developing an approach to maintaining the material so that it’s always current. You’ll leave with a physical roadmap that will be of immeasurable value to your family. \n\n\n\nThere is no cost for this workshop series\, but attendance is limited so you must register to attend. Light refreshments will be served at each session. Notebook materials will be provided.  \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nREGISTER HERE!\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPre-Registering Required\n\n\n\nThis seminar has a considerable amount of work leading up to the event and interaction between speakers and participants – Participants will receive formal notebook and various reference materials\, all assembled in advance. We prefer to collect registrations ahead of time; although we will have additional handouts\, it is difficult to accommodate walk-ins for this event. \n\n\n\nIf you register and find you are unable to attend\, please let us know\, so we can offer that space to someone on our waiting list. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nFor questions\, contact the AMAC Foundation at 888-750-2622 or email info@amacfoundation.org

SUMMARY:Sudden Death: Are You Prepared?
DESCRIPTION:NOTICE – This session is now fully subscribed. Watch for details for the next scheduled “Sudden Death” workshop. \n\n\n\nAttention: This event is comprised of three two-hour sessions. \n\n\n\nHere are the dates of all three sessions: Mondays – July 12\, July 19\, & July 26\, 2021 — 10:00 am to 12:00 pm \n\n\n\nNote Location: Villages Public Library at Pinellas Plaza\, 7375 Powell Road\, Wildwood\, FL 34785 \n\n\n\nAttendance is limited; you must register to attend. \n\n\n\nIf you passed away tomorrow\, will your loved ones know what to do? Will they know where your financial information and tax records\, insurance records\, and investment documents are stored? Will they be able to locate your most current will\, health care directives\, and documented funeral wishes? Can they locate important household documents\, like deeds\, car titles\, and pension statements? \n\n\n\nThe list goes on and on\, but the important point is that having this type of pertinent information organized and available in a structured place is something you can do in advance for those you leave behind. It’s a big task and it’s not an easy one…we know that. But with a structured approach you can create a living document that will prove invaluable to your loved ones. \n\n\n\nThis seminar has been structured to guide you through the process of creating your “Survivor Notebook\,” the repository that will help your loved ones cope after your passing. Light refreshments will be served at each session. Notebook materials will be provided.  \n\n\n\nAlso\, please be advised that COVID-19 restrictions are expected to remain in place for this event\, with face coverings and social distancing required. \n\n\n\nA Note on the Importance of Pre-Registering\n\n\n\nFor certain seminars (including the “Sudden death – Are You Prepared?” series)\, there is a considerable amount of interaction between the speakers and the participants\, so we prefer to limit the number of participants to 30. Also\, participants are provided resources in the form of a formal notebook and various reference materials\, all of which must be assembled in advance. Hence\, we need to carefully track the number of expected (and registered) attendees. While we can occasionally accommodate walk-ins\, that’s not always the case\, and unregistered folks tend to be disappointed at having wasted time and effort. Finally\, since we also provided snacks for attendees\, it’s important that we know the audience size we need to plan for when we purchase our supplies the day before.\n\n\n\nTo register: Contact the AMAC Foundation\, 888-750-2622 or email: info@amacfoundation.org

SUMMARY:Fight Back! Help Prevent Medicare Fraud
DESCRIPTION:This workshop has been cancelled\, and will likely be rescheduled over the winter months. Stay tuned for details!\n \nAs part of its continuing seminar series on topics of critical importance to seniors\, the AMAC Foundation is collaborating with Florida’s Senior Medicare Patrol (SMP) to present a community outreach event designed to help “Stop Fraud in its Tracks.” The seminar is held in conjunction with SMP’s Health Care Fraud Prevention Program\, a public service initiative to enlist seniors and other community members in detecting and preventing scams\, improper payments\, and other illegal practices that are fraudulently draining an estimated $65 billion each year from the funds available for their healthcare. \nThe AMAC Foundation is a non-profit organization focused totally on the needs of America’s seniors\, and is collaborating with Florida’s Senior Medicare Patrol to help spread the word about the dramatically high cost of Medicare fraud. The seminar will focus on protecting personal information\, detecting errors occurring in the Medicare payment stream\, and detecting scams and deceptive practices\, and will explain the proper ways to report suspected health care fraud. \nThe one and a half hour program has been scheduled for Wednesday\, October 18\, 2017 at the Sumter County Library at Pinellas Plaza in The Villages\, and is open to the public. The program will begin at 10:00 am\, and will be held in Room 102 at the library\, 7375 Powell Road\, Wildwood\, FL 34785. \nJoin us for what promises to be a highly informative session aimed squarely at helping protect the health care benefits you’ve earned. It’s a big problem\, one that the FBI has estimated plagues between 3% and 10% of all Medicare billings. We’re all in this together\, so let’s join forces and fight the problem! \nThere is no fee to attend this seminar and\, by the way\, light snacks will be served! \nDeadline for registration: Friday\, October 13\, 2017 at 5:00 pm. \n  \nFor more information or to register for this seminar\, contact: \nAMAC Foundation\n312 Teague Trail\nLady Lake\, FL 32159 \n1-888-750-2622\ninfo@amacfoundation.org
