New Foundation Publication - Third in a Series!
In keeping with our continuing objective of delivering informative publications on the complex subject of Social Security, our third book is now in print and will be available within the next few weeks, barring any delays in publishing schedules! This edition, titled "Ask Rusty: Demystifying Social Security," follows the highly acclaimed second volume in this series ("Ask Rusty" What's So Hard About Social Security?" The original "Ask Rusty" edition, of course, was a basic compendium of the first 80 editions of this weekly newsletter issue regularly sent to more than 7,000 media outlets across the country.

Our new publication is based on the fact that all Americans have unique situations which do, or will, affect their Social Security benefit. As those who have looked at Social Security know, the rules applying to both the most common and myriad special situations are presented in about 110,000 electronic pages on the Social Security Administration's website, www.socialsecurity.gov. If this seems overwhelming, it almost always is for anyone seeking guidance with their personal claiming decision.

The "Demystifying Social Security" publication seeks to unravel many of Social Security's often complex rules, with each chapter supplemented with a corresponding "Ask Rusty" article related to the Chapter's topic. Readers are advised, of course, to contact the AMAC Foundation by phone at 1.888.750.2622 or email at SSAdvisor@amacfoundation.org for specific answers to their personal questions. Our staff of fully accredited Social Security Advisors is available to assist you, and there is never a fee for our services.

If you are interested in obtaining a copy of this new publication, contact the AMAC Foundation and we'll see that you get one!

"Books are the perfect entertainment: no commercials, no batteries, hours of enjoyment for each dollar spent. What I wonder is why everybody doesn't carry a book around for those inevitable dead spots in life."

Foundation Partners with Mediaplanet in Nationwide Campaign
The AMAC Foundation is proud to partner with Mediaplanet for its Senior Health campaign! According to the Social Security Administration, 10,000 people turn 65 in the United States every single day. By 2050, senior citizens will represent 20% of the population. This campaign seeks to address the uncertainties and worries that accompany aging -- not just for older Americans, but also for their caregivers and loved ones. The campaign connects such stakeholders to advice and insights from industry experts, innovative products and services that take some of the bite out of growing older, and compelling stories that reassure readers they are not alone in this process. Learn more by reading the campaign in USA Today and online here: https://bit.ly/3tpwjwO

As part of its participation in this nationwide media campaign, our Foundation was one of six key article contributors in the June 30 insert included in the USAToday. Our article, titled "A Beginner's Guide to Social Security," provided insight into the several key items those aging into benefit eligibility need to be aware of, and showcased the extensive knowledge our Social Security Advisory staff has built in thus area.

Foundation Supports Veteran Efforts
As we've mentioned in several previous editions of our monthly newsletter, the AMAC Foundation has been instrumental in expanding AMAC's overall support to the Veteran Community. This a major area of focus for AMAC, given that fully 31% of AMAC's total membership are Veterans and roughly 75% of the membership reports having a Veteran in their family. In June, our involvement took the form of offering promotional content through our website, and through other AMAC media, for a webinar organized by one of our affiliates, One More Day Veteran Suicide Prevention.

In another matter, we began work with DrOwl, an organization offering a tool to help Veterans integrate their Veterans Administration-based health records with their external health care records to achieve a more cohesive health history for themselves and their families. Toward this end, we are hosting a webinar on Wednesday, July 20 to educate Veterans and their families on how to obtain and use this free app. Additional details are presented on our website's "Events" page. The DrOwl organization has created a landing page specifically for AMAC visitors, which can be accessed here...
