SUMMARY:The New Year’s Resolution You Will Want to keep for 2018
DESCRIPTION:Most of us want to do better in the New Year\, and yet it’s hard to stick to the plan—those pesky New Year’s resolutions always seem to fade out earlier than we’d like. There are some resolutions\, though\, that have long-term implications and that should be kept in focus as the days go roaring by. \nThis program\, conducted by a panel of caring professionals\, is designed to help you keep the promises you made to yourself and your family to take control of your destiny in your active senior years. We’ll focus on issues like where you want to live\, what services you would need when you are no longer able to take care of yourself\, and what benefits and services you are eligible to receive. We’ll wrap all of this around a plan you can present to your family—a plan that will aid them as they help you in the years ahead. \nDiscussion topics include: \n\nLegal documents\, Disability Planning\, and other legal planning tools.\nUnderstanding Veterans Benefits\, Medicaid\, and other benefits.\nCare Services\, Home Care\, Living options and other services.\n\nOur panel will feature remarks from these professionals: \n\nJodi Murphy\, Attorney with Murphy & Berglund offices in Altamont Springs and The Villages\nKim Lanning\, Aging Life Care Professional with Caring Avenues office in Leesburg
