DESCRIPTION:Windfall Elimination Provision and Government Pension Offset – Our Social Security Advisory staff will examine the origin of these two controversial Social Security provisions. \n\n\n\nWe’ll discuss the Windfall Elimination Provision and Government Pension Offset and their impact on Social Security’s retirement\, spousal\, and survivor benefits\, beginning with a review of an important ingredient in understanding the arguments pro and con—the methodology governing how Social Security benefits are calculated. Examples of the relationship between calculated benefits and Social Security’s progressive income replacement design will be used to illustrate the impact of these two much debated provisions.

DESCRIPTION:The U.S. House of Representatives (H. Res. 387) and Senate (S. Res. 206) have introduced a bipartisanjoint resolution to designate June 10\, 2023 as “Veterans Get Outside Day.” The resolution encourages atargeted outreach program to urge Veterans to participate in outdoor activities on that date.The resolution is the part of an effort by Military-Veterans Advocacy (MVA) and the Canadian o2 Project to encourage those living with post-traumatic stress\, traumatic brain injury\, depression\, and anxiety to participate in outside events and activities to improve mental health outcomes. \n\n\n\nPress Release \n\n\n\nAMAC Foundation is honored to have MVA as an FVOP Collaborator.
