DESCRIPTION:The Villages Library\, Pinellas Plaza@ 7375 Powell Road\, Wildwood\, FL 34785\n\n\n\n10 Warning Signs of Alzheimer’s – An Education Program presented by the Alzheimer’s Association \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAlzheimer’s and other dementias cause memory\, thinking and behavior problems that interfere with daily living. Join us to learn how to recognize common signs of Alzheimer’s disease. Learn how to approach someone about memory concerns\, the importance of early detection and benefits of a diagnosis\, possible tests and assessments for the diagnostic process\, and Alzheimer’s Association resources. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPresentation delivered by Kari Walker. Kari is an experienced program director and health educator in the senior care industry. She is driven by a passion to equip and empower others with the information they need to make the best possible decisions about their health and well-being. As a Population Health Specialist with The Villages Health\, her goals include creating a “Dementia Friendly” community in The Villages as well as implementing specialized programs tailored to reduce diabetes and fall risk. She holds a Master’s degree in Gero-Kinesiology and is a Certified Dementia Practitioner. Currently\, she and her husband share their home in The Villages with their Dusky headed Conure and Chihuahua.
